Welcome to the Wayne County Firefighters Association
Founded in 1779 and named in honor of General Anthony Wayne, a prominent Revolutionary War hero from Pennsylvania, Wayne County is strategically positioned in the east central part of the state, nestled within the Coastal Plain Region. Spanning an area of approximately 553.97 square miles, the county is home to roughly 124,984 residents.
The Wayne County Firefighters Association plays a pivotal role in the community, encompassing 26 diverse fire departments, both volunteer and paid, augmented by 3 dedicated Forest Rangers. Additionally, the association collaborates closely with the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Fire Department to enhance fire protection and emergency response services across the county.
